Hi all,
I'm at wits end with my Asus PCE-AC68 which I spent loads on to supplement my new RT-AC87U, completely sucked in by promises of 1.3Gbps AC, TurboQAM, beamforming etc etc!
There are two available drivers on the Asus website for Win10 64 bit:
Neither of these drivers work on anything but 2.4GHz for me. No issues with other cards or USB dongles picking up the 5GHz band in my house, nor any issues on phone, laptop etc. The PCE-AC68 just refuses to show any 5GHz SSIDs.
Now I have escalated this to Asus back in December and they just folded immediately:
I have read a suggestion to try the TP-Link T9E drivers as apparently the hardware is the same, which I tried to no avail. (Archer T9E_V1_151026)
Has anyone had any similar issues, and more importantly managed to fix them.
All suggestions welcome, many thanks in advance!
Simon

6.30.223.228 - The original release which comes with some god awful software that persistently pops up to front of screen.
7.35.315.0 - A driver only update

Dear Simon,
Thank you for your email.
It seems that`s a glitch with the utility so I`ll go ahead and escalate the issue to the development team for a possible fix in a future update.
Now, you have two options:
1. Wait for an uptade to the utility.
2. Contact your retailer for advice on returns/replacement or any other options they can offer. As part of the sale process the retailer accepted that they would control all returns/replacement on behalf of Asus for the duration of the warranty. They should be able to sort this out for you. Asus has no other policy on these devices; We cannot replace or repair these devices.
I`m so sorry for this inconvenience!
Kind regards,
Paul C.
