hello all, dont know whole lot about computers i know some but not everything. When I run BIOS on ASUS z77 motherboard and i choose the performace option, it seems to freeze randomly after running it. it could be 10 minutes to hours in. Currently i have I7-2600k cpu 3.40ghz 16gb ram, and Geforce gtx 680. On normal mode i dont get any problems what so ever play all day long but i just decided to do performance to maybe up it while playing fallout 4. took probably about and hour and half and it froze one me. Any idea? Thanks!

I am currently running core temp and it say TJ. Max 98c. and core 0-3 are maxed about 60c. Not sure if that helps or not. Just ran temps when it froze 67c was max temp on core. running 58.4watts. Normal mode runs at max 56c.

So could I update a driver or anything for the optimal to work? I tried manually and it seems to bog my game down really bad. I'm going to put it back to normal. With prime95 running for 2 and half hours max heat I got was 70c

Just do standard mode unless you are going to do a manual overclock.

Okay and any way I should go about that

Trial and error, move the clock speed up, if it crashes, increase voltage, if it gets too hot, turn down the overclock, check with prime95.
