I recently noticed that my bios had a performance mode option so I used and it set my CPU voltage to an auto offset (stays around 1.279 volts) and when I reboot it says overclock05% on the ROG screen that displays. It change my frequency from 3.9ghz to 4.1ghz I have noticed the fan ramps up less and my overall temps while gaming are better as well. I don't really have interest in overclocking but the benefits are nice. Is this safe for my computer or should I just use default optimized settings since fan noise doesn't bother me and my temps were fine to begin with?

Asus Crosshair VIII Hero (WIFI)
Ryzen 7 3800x
RTX 2080 Super
Corsair Vengeance RGB 32 GB

You are just limiting your Ryzen like that, PBO is way to go if you...
Just wondering why are you not overclocking your processor when it is capable of aswell as you are using top motherboard. Overclocking is just easy and requires few clicks but boosts everything which would worth your spending.

You are just limiting your Ryzen like that, PBO is way to go if you want performance. Either that or overclock it manually to 4.5 GHz it's capable of.
