I just put a second hard drive in my computer, then a couple minutes after playing any blizzard game, my computer would crash and say
"Power Supply Surges detected during the previous power on.
ASUS Anti-Surge was triggered to protect system from unstable power supply unit! "

I then took the second hard drive out and this is still happening. My current psu is only 300W. Is my psu the problem?

Anti-surge message usually mean that the motherboard detected out-of-spec voltages coming from the PSU. Yes, that would usually mean there is a problem with the PSU.

If you have a computer case which can take standard ATX-size PSUs, get a good quality replacement PSU such as Seasonic's 520-620W S12-II which can often be found for as little as $40.
