Hi!

I have a Asus Prime A320M-K and I'm updating my CPU to the Ryzen 7 1700x. According to UEFI, my BIOS version is 0805 and several websites say that I need a BIOS version 0217 to use the Ryzen 7. That means that I'm good, right? I don't need to update my BIOS? Is that correct? If it's not, which BIOS version should I get and can you point me to an easy BIOS update tutorial?

Thanks!!!

You should be fine. The place to check, in the future is the motherboard support site.

With an 0805 BIOS, that is 4 years old. You could take the opportunity to update. The early AM4 motherboards were finicky with RAM. A BIOS update could improve stability.
If you choose to update read ALL the notes with each BIOS version. You might have to make two or three updates to get to the latest (if desired).
