So I currently have 2x4gb (running at 2933mhz) installed on my system and I'm planning to upgrade pretty soon, but I've been reading online that using 4x4gb is pretty much bad or smth.

My motherboard is the Asus Prime b450m-a and it has 4 dimm slots, but I've online that it only supports dual channel memory.

Could I still but 2x4gb to upgrade my system? Is that i don't wanna waste too much money cause I'm planning to buy a RX 580/590 asw.

8gb is more than enough..its 2400g

if you still want an upgrade-
get faster memory 3200mhz thats a better upgrade than getting 16gb over 8gb on 2400g

if you are stuck on getting more Ram-
get 2x8gb kit.. or 4x4gb kit
adding new kit to already existing kit is not recommended as Ram which didnt come in kit sometimes dont work together
