Hi!

I have a gaming computer with an asus prime b550-plus amd am4 3rd gen motherboard that i would like to switch my wired Sony MDR-1A headphone with a wireless headphone. What is my best option? The sound quality doesn't need to be fantastic, but still at least decent, and i would love if this wouldn't cost me a fortune.

If you have a suggestion for a great comfortable wireless headphone that doesn't cost 500$ please also add it to your post!

Thank you gentlemen!

Just curious, are you currently paired with those headphones on your motherboard's onboard sound card? If so, you're running off of a measly Realtek ALC887. Did you try hooking the headphones up to a better quality sound card?

Personally I'm not a fan of wireless headphones since all the audio processing is done on the USB/transmitter end. I'm more of an analog kind of person and most often than not, people pair the right pair of headphones to the wrong sound source to get a mediocre experience.

If you're looking for a wireless headphone to remove a pair of wires, there are many on the shelf right now and the most you might need to spend is 250USD.
