Question Asus Prime H510M-E Armory fan speed issues

Running Prime H510M-E with i-5 10400:

When I change the fan setting in armory to one of the four icons, for instance "standard" setting, the fan rpms ramp up during high temps, but rpm's DON'T go back down after the cpu is cool at idle. It seems to not work according to other peoples experiences as well. If I run Armory and don't touch the fan settings, it follows the fan curve set in the bios, which is fine. I don't see anywhere in Armory, at least my version, to set a fan curve. Thoughts?

Is there a simple freeapp to replace this functionality? I really just want to see cpu load, temps, rpm's, and maybe be able to adjust fan curves without having to reset into my bios.

How are the fans in your build tethered to the motherboard? Speaking of fans, what fans are you working with? On a side note, what BIOS version are you on for your motherboard at the time of writing? What version of Armory are you working with?

1. Im only talking about the cpu fan attached to the MB cpu header and 1 Chassis fan on mb header also. (The chassis fan isn't a big concern, as it doesn't sound like a 747 taking off) sorry for the confusion.

2. Stock intel cpu cooler fan, and some "cougar" chassis fan that came with the case. All other case fans are just connected to the power supply running at default speeds- they are fine. Again, the cpu fan is the main concern.

3. Bios is v. 0822. I think there is one newer bios available, which maybe I should pull the trigger and install? I didn't want to risk messing with it unnecessarily.
