[SOLVED] ASUS Prime X299 Deluxe II - Fan Extension Card II

I would like to add the Fan Extension Card II. Page 54 of the User Manual https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/PRIME-X299-DELUXE-II/HelpDesk_Manual/
A 6 pin pigtail is provided and the directions say to connect to a compatible PSU. I am using a modular Corsair - RM850x PSU.

In the ASUS FAQ, abou 25% of the way down,
How to install Fan Extension Card II
1. Connect power cable to the Fan Extension Card II and power supply.
it shows what appears to be a 6 + 2 connector.

Two questions:
1. Does ASUS have a general forum or are the ROG forums a general purpose forum for questions like this?

2. What power source should I be using, Graphics 6 + 2 or the 6 pin out of the PCI-E?

I added the link of the card & cables/adapter to you post.
It appears your assessment is correct, it uses a 6 pin cable. Why though I do not know. Not everyone has a spare 6/6+2 on their PSU. LoL

Has anybody managed to get the extension card II to work on the hero xi? Fans spin but can't get it to show up
