I have been running this ASUS Prime X570-Pro for a couple of years but wanted to upgrade the BIOS to something newer to prep to go to Windows 11. I had been running 1402 and upgraded to 4204.

The problem is that even though the BIOS sees the NVMe drive (Samsung SSD 970 EVO 500GB) in the NVMe Configuration, it no longer will boot from the Windows 10 that is installed there. I didn't have BitLocker on.

I also have two other SATA drives in the computer and both of these showed up in the SATA section before upgraded but don't present as bootable in the Boot tab in the BIOS either.

possible you have csm/legacy mode on the windows installed.
It turns out I needed to turn on CSM in the BIOS for things to work right. I guess this setting automatically got turned off or UEFI automatically turned on with the upgrade which was admittedly a big jump in versions.

Thanks for the direction!
