Asus Prime Z270-A compatible with i5 9600k?

I have Asus Prime Z270-A motherboard and it has a LGA 1151 slot for CPU and ive just bought i5 9600k processor with same slot will it work?

No it won't work.
The 8th and 9th gen Intel CPUs will only work on the Intel 300 series chipsets(H310, B360, Z370, Z390).
