I have a Z170 PRO GAMING Motherboard,
which doesn't have that connector.

And my friend has a H170 PRO GAMING,
and his board has that connector.

I want to know what does this connector actually do, and why while the H170 version has it, Z170 doesn't. Thanks

Solution
It's for your front-panel "ON" light. Look on page 1-26 of your manual. Some motherboard have a 3-pin connector for this in which is the middle pin is a actually an empty space, and on some motherboard the power and ground are right next to each other. Yours is the latter.
