AI Suite says to set my CPU q fan control to advanced mode when using a 3 pin fan, which I am. Yet, I can't find this option in the bios. Where can I find this setting?
Okay so it is set correct. If you are going to use the Ai Suite, make sure you go into it and run the fan calibration. Once you do that, the profiles should work correctly in controlling your fans.
I see options for Q Fan Mode that say PWM, DC, and Auto. I have set the Q fan mode to DC, yet when I enter windows both of my CPU fans ramp up, likely due to Ai Suite's profile. So I guess I could also solve my problem by somehow disabling this profile, but I don't know how to do that either.

you can't control fans that are 3 pins. only 4 pin fan's can be controlled and adjusted their RPM. When you have a 3 pin fan it automatically runs at full speed

Ok thanks, I did that and now the fans are running nicely. I am still a bit confused about the "advanced mode" setting, but as long as I have them set to DC control, I suppose it's fine.
