[SOLVED] Asus Q87M-E motherboard green light indicator on, no boot, brand new

I recently bought the motherboard listed above and when i built it in, it booted up perfectly 4 or 5 times but when i turned it off for the night i woke up and it wouldnt power. This has happened before with the same exact motherboard that also died starting to suspect the case.

Did every trick in the book, built outside of case, switched cpu’s switched ram, cleared cmos, ram slot switch unplugging all drives all of it, nothing is working, i guess i can return it but im quite inpatient and would have to wait weeks for a new one.

4x4 16gb kingston 1666 ddr3
Rx 480 Red devil
240gb kingston ssd
1tb WD Black
500w Thermaltake certified 80+ white

i have tested all my parts in its sister pc (same build different mobo) only thing not functioning is the mobo

IS THERE A POSSIBLE INCAPABILITY ISSUE

Can you test her hopefully better quality PSU in your build? The low-quality PSU coupled with an RX 480 is the first thing that jumps out.

sometimes 8x motherboard needs a bios update to use haswell refresh, if you have any haswell cpu and it could boot, then update the bios using thhat cpu, and insert back the 4790k.

It already booted up "four or five times." It's not like the BIOS forgot the microcode overnight.
