asus r9 280 non x gaming problems

Hi I have a asus r9 280 non x version and when I am playing games like arma 3 farcry 4 it will all be running fine and then the screen will flash colors and it will stay at a solid color with white lines running down the screen I hear no in game sound and I cant alt-f4 and ctlr-del I am running the latest drives to my knodlege.
