Asus r9 290 Temps

I've heard that Asus just slapped on the 780 DirectCu II cooler on the 290. Are the temps really bad on the card or are they average? Is the card cool and quiet under idle and load? And does it throttle, does it perform well? If anyone has this card, please feel free to tell me how it performs.

the direct cu II cooler is known for being quite and extremely cool. On the r9 290 even though the 290's are known for running hot the card should be thermal throttling unless the airflow is restricted

So to keep the card cooler, should I add a higher powered fan in the back to exhaust the heat more efficiently? Do you know how the temps are and do you own this card?

no but from experience with direct cu II coolers they are some of the best air coolers
