By looking at your system I can see that you certainly don't want to spend any money if you don't have to, my best advice is this, get the card...it "should" run OK on your system as you don't seem to be draining all that much power as it is. In the event that it does overload your PSU (crashing, won't start that sort of thing) then simply unplug any drives you don't need. If this fixes the problem, then you know a PSU update is required. At the end of the day, I don't think the power requirments of a 9600XT is going to be all that much greater ( due to it's GPU having a new process that is supposed to reduce it's power requirements) but the only way your going to find out is by trying it. If it runs, well, all well and good and just enjoy.

Many thanx agcheavin, your post boosted me with confidance!
But in the event that I does not work can you recomend your own PSU? Because I will upgrade (sometime 6-10 months) to a system similar to yours (similar expect I will keep the 9600 XT).

You'll see a massive performance boost in games, even with that relatively slow processor. To get a boost you might want to consider getting another 256mb of RAM because that would speed everything up, expecially if your are running XP.

Does anybody know if I will be able to play (at low quality settings) X2-The Treath if I buy a Asus 9600 XT and 256 Mb more ram (suming up a total of 128 + 256 MB)?

Um... Well whit my current setup you can hardly call it "working" but I have changed my mind (yet again) to buy some delicius new hardware it will look something like this:
CPU: AMD Athlon XP 2700+
MOBO: Something whith nForce2 400 Ultra
Memmory: 512MB DDR 400 PC3200
PSU: Forton 350W

After that I will wait for the new line of GC from ATI and then buy a 9800 PRO... Sounds like a plan, right?

Sounds good. Might want to get a new faster hard drive? That always helps me with loading games.

I'm not sure you will really enjoy the Radeon 9600XT performance on your system.

My personal experience :

I had a Geforce 256 with P3/700MHz... Then I bought a Radeon 8500 (128Megs), I got a big boost in synthetic benchmarks (like 3dMark) but I wasn't satisfied with actual gaming performance.

Then I change my CPU/MB to Athlon 1800+ and I started to enjoy my Radeon 8500 performance.

I think that if you buy the Radeon 9600XT you will see a boost in performance but your CPU will not keep up with the Video Card.

I really think you need a NEW CPU/MB/Memory, Celeron are the WORST performer on the market for gaming. Then offer enough power to Internet/Office Apps. but they sucks in games.

I strongly recommend you to upgrade your CPU/Ram with you GPU if you want to enjoy the full power of your video card.

It's not true that today's games only need a good GPU. Today's games need enough CPU power too!
