My new 3090 will not fit in Pcei slot one because of the USB hub and ethernet connection. 1080to fit fine, but this thing is a whole other whale.

I put it in slot two, then four. It loads fine, but in Bios it reads as X8 Native, rather than 16. And wants the card out back in slot one.

Could this be because Im using a M.2 boot drive on the motherboard?

Am I doing damage to the card in another slot?

Am I creating a bottleneck?

Cheers to anyone who tries to help, I really appreciate it.

The PCIE_X8_4 slot shares bandwidth with M.2 x 4.

As long as you are not using the PCIE_X8_4 slot, then the use of an M.2 drive should have no effect.

Looking at images of your motherboard, I'm confused as to what it is as far as USB and ethernet connection that could possibly be a factor or in the way. Some pictures or clarification, or both, would probably be helpful.
