Asus rampage V not working with 64 gb ram properly

I have two kits of 32Gb(4x8) DDR4 2400. When I instal them, they don´t work properly (randomly BSOD, freeze, etc.) and only at 2133Mhz. I tested with Windows Memory Diagnostic tool, without any error. At 2400Mhz manual setup computer wont even start.

But when I put DDR to number A1,B1,C1,D1 slots (red slots) they work properly, but only 32GB. I test every DDR stick in DIMM_C1 slot and they work nice. When I put one stick to every slots i get these results:

DIMM_A1 - Ok
DIMM_A2 - ERROR 53
DIMM_B1 - Ok
DIMM_B2 - ERROR 53
DIMM_D2 - ERROR 53
DIMM_D1 - Ok
DIMM_C2 - ERROR 53
DIMM_C1 - Ok

ERROR 53 - Memory initialization error. Invalid memory type or incompatible memory speed

Any Thoughts? Thanks

I don't see it on the QVL http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/LGA2011/Rampage_V_Extreme/R5E_QVL_0911.pdf but did you contact Crucial? I presume BLS4G4D240FSA.8FAD or BLS8G4D240FSA.16FAD were not available?

Couple of possibles - 1 is you have two sets of DRAM - so there's no guarantee they will play together in the first place, might try increasing the VCCSA (system agent voltage) a little at a timeand see if that helps, might also increase DRAM voltage (+ 0.065 or so) - what's the actual model # of the DRAM sets

You really should contact Crucial support as they should be able to help and explain why they don't work. Unless M16FADM means something very different from 16FAD, they should all work together. The only 32GB I can find on their site is http://www.crucial.com/usa/en/memory/bls4k8g4d240fsa

DRAM manufacturers guarantee by the individual set, they don't guarantee mixing packages (even of the same exact model) the DRAM in a given package has been tested to all play together, that's one reason a pack of eight quite often costs more than two packs of four sticks, it's harder to match up eight sticks that all play nice then it does 4, it takes more testing, hence a higher price

Problem is Crucial don't sell a 64GB kit (8x4GB), but Asus have the 32GB kits on their QVL for 8 modules; therefore they had to test with 2 kits.

Might contact Asus then, the two sets they have may have played, but it doesn't guarantee any 2 sets will, might also ask if this was to boot to the mobo default or if they 'tested' at full 2400, did they use XMP or set up manually, etc

If with single RAM module one or more slots do not work, then it might be a CPU socket bent pins issue. I suggest reseating the CPU and checking the socket.

It may not be easy to get that info from Asus, but the OP has nothing to lose. Even though Asus lists Corsair and G.Skill 64GB kits, both Corsair and G.Skill only offer 32GB kits when you visit their site.

They never run at 2400 at XMP, only 2133. When I change it manualy, as i wrote before, pc wont even start. I´ll contact crucial for answer. And i let you know

Why replace the CPU? You only need to find a 64GB kit that's certified to work with that motherboard.
