Hello i got offered for both. The matrix 980ti is brand bew but has 1.3 yeara warrantly left
The 1070 is a used card with 2 years warrantly left..
980ti ask me for 420$ while the 1080 ask for 377$.. money is very important here and also i will sell the card in the near future.. i think it will be more easy to sell the 1070 cause the 980ti is a special "matrix" version and probably requiring big psu and waste electricity..

So guys what do u thibk i should buy?

For what you are doing you will see 0 difference between the 1060 and 1070. Even the 1060 isn't performing to it's full potential as it's being limited by the 1x pci-e bus. This is the big problem when using those egpu kits. The expresscard slot and mini pci-e ports only run at 1x pci-e speeds and will be a massive bottleneck for any decent gpu. Egpu's can work great on systems designed for them(have more lanes available).

Instead of wasting money on a new gpu spend that money on getting parts for a desktop to put your current 1060 in.

I sold the 1060 in very good price.. the thing about the bottleneck is just causing thr gpu to work 80 70 percent from it real performance. So lets call 1060 "x" power and 1070 is "y" power, and lets say that 3x = 2y.. so 70 percent of x comapre to 70 lercent of y is a massice improvemnt even thou its not using his full 100% performance..
I guess i will go for the 1070..
Btw i upgrade 960 to 970 few weeks ago and had a big imorovemnt so i think u guys dont really know ehat u r saying abot egpu excuse me..
Thannks for helping me which to choose

That's because it's not what you wanted to hear. I agree with bignastyid. The fact that you're only getting 70-80% load means your gpu dock is the bottleneck. Ideally you want the gpu to be placed under 100% load to fully utilize 100% of the performance that gpu has to offer. Your only going to be able to push so much gpu horsepower through that dock and your not going to see any improvement by upgrading. I

Please explain why did my fps went from 30 to 50 uograding from 960 to 970 and then went to 70 fps when i upgraded to 1060... i just dont understamd why is it so difficult for u to understand. If it having bottlebeck and im having only 70% performance, uphrading to a stronger card will be the same improvemnt as upgrading to a desktop pc card.. but the performance ofc will be diffrent, but the improvment the same.. its simple math

That's not how it works your understanding is flawed.

The bus has a limited bandwidth the gpu usage on a faster card will be lower not equal. It's essentially a speed limit. if car A has a top speed of 120mph and car B has a top speed of 180mph it doesn't matter if the road limits them to 80mph.

Sgtscream what does it matter what u want ? U said no improvemnt but 20 fps is a big improvemnt so now u have nothing to say and just sayin "i wouldnt upgrade card for 20 fps"
I sold the 1060 in very good price so uograding to 1070 is requring me for about 40$..
Please leave me i dont want deksto p pc. My egpu lap is very strong for me.. running csgo on 200fps and pubg on 70 fps is great for me..
