I just upgraded to this card from a GTX 1070. Since then, I have had a blue screen of death 5 times. (4 in the last 2 days). I am wondering if it is an overheating issue so I hopped into ASUS Tweak II and it is only showing the card has a left fan and middle fan, but nowhere indicating it has a right fan.

I am wondering if this could be part of the problem.

When I first built this computer with the GTX 1070 I had to reinstall windows because only 1 fan was blowing full blast and ASUS Tweak and the MSI one couldn't start the other two fans. Asus support had me reinstall windows and it worked fine.

I would prefer not to have to do that again, but am willing if necessary.

Which Power supply unit are you using to power up this GPU ? BTW, doing a fresh re-install of the OS never hurts, at least in my opinion..

Anyways, just make sure all the PCI-E cables are connected properly to the GPU. BSOD is mostly an OS and/or a faulty DRIVER issue, though a faulty hardware might also be the cause.

Reseat the GPU firmly back on the mobo's PCI-Express slot, if need be.

I am using an EVGA SuperNova 750 P2 Plat

The only board I have in the system is the video card. I have an I7700 with an asus z170a mg 32mb of ram.

I double checked the connections are all securely hooked up.

I put in an m.2 drive recently and installed windows then, maybe 2 months ago. Which is why I didnt want to do it again 😉

I reinstalled Windows after backing everything up and still cannot get the third fan to be detected. ASUS GPU tweak calls them the left-right fan, but only spins the left fan. MSI Afterburner only detects two fans. When I ramp them up, only the left and middle fans spin.
