Please help, I bought a new ASUS ROG b450-f motherboard with new 2x8GB Corsair Vengeance LPX 3200 ddr 4 modules and second hand Ryzen 7 2700x.
I bought the components as an upgrade to my system with an Asus R9 290x and Corsair HX 750W PSU.
I got all the components on the same day and proceeded to build the system. Booting up for the first time was filled with anxiety and excitement at the same time.
It POSTed and made the single beep BUT then the on-board error LEDs started cycling between white, orange and red - over and over again with no signal to the monitor. Restarting displayed the ROG boot screen with a green LED on the motherboard but it soon turned to no signal again and the error LEDs cycling through the white, orange and red again. Pressing DEL or F2 during the boot screen turns the screen black and then it enters no signal again and cycles the error leds.
According to the manual white is a VGA error, orange is a dram error and red is a CPU error.
Did I buy a damaged CPU? If so, wouldnt the RED led shine continuously? Or is there something obvious I am missing?
