Asus ROG Front Base Compatibility

Is the Asus ROG Front Base compatible with non-ROG mobos such as the Z97-Deluxe?

FYI it is compatible with Z97 chipset and it just needs a firmware update

Wondering if the Front Base is only for ROG boards

The mobo hookup requires a ROG_EXT header
