Hello i would like to just know if it would be possible to upgrade my 970 to the 1070 in my Asus g20. I currently have a Gtx 970 but I'm not sure if my power supply will handle it. It's a brick which has 2 adapters in it like this. https://goo.gl/images/zMjS4G

I actually just installed a nvidia gtx 1080 founders edition earlier and it's running good :) this is how the dual power adapter works, one is a 180w and the other a 230w, the 180w is dedicated to the gpu which is all the gtx 1080 requires, and the 230 adapter is for the main board. Hope this helps :)
What wattage are is your psu or psu's. If I had to guess yes it will, the 1070s TDP is only 7watts higher than the 970's.

I'm not exactly sure how much they are. I heard one is 180 and other brick is 230. That's the thing I need help with. I looked awhile ago but couldn't find how much. It's a external psu

I've heard the opposite, that the 230w is for the GPU while the 180w is for the motherboard, but I can't confirm. What do you think about the 1080ti, it requires 250w...I was looking at some power adapters online and was thinking about changing out the 230w adapter for the 330w adapter used on the alienware laptops.

I have the 1080 fe on the way I currently have 970 is there anything else I need for upgrade
