ASUS ROG GL702VS doesnt recognize 1 of my Monitors

Hi guys ,

I have an ASUS GL702VS (i7,16ram,gtx1080 with a laptop screen of 75hz).

I connected a normal 60 hz screen to the hdmi port which works perfectly fine (Samsung SyncMaster BX2450).

i have disconnected the 60hz screen and tried to connect my other screen (AOC
2460pg 144hz with GSYNC) and it seems the laptop cant recognize it.

i have connected the AOC screen with a Displayport to hdmi which is connected to a hdmi to minidisplay port and to the laptop (i didnt have a display port to minidisplay port adapter).

i have tried to update my GPU driver but it didnt work.

anyone have an idea on how to proceed?

I suspect its the HDMI part that is giving the issue, is it an HDMI 2.0 cable?
