I just need a mobo for two way sli and some overclocking is the Asus rog maximus VIII alpha overkill?

From what I can tell the Alpha adds wifi, RGB LED strip headers, and U.2. Not a lot of difference, but it depends if you will appreciate those additional features. I think the Ranger is the same as the Hero but without the LED lighting effects. The Asus Pro Gaming is also a nice board, lacking the water pump header and having one less sys fan header, and having SupremeFX sound rather than the newer SupremeFX 2015 sound. I'm not sure whether the VRM of the Pro Gaming is exactly the same as the Maximus boards above.
