asus rog maximus xi hero z390 worth it?

Is it worth shelling out the $300 for the highest end mobo I can get? I plan on upgrading to (most likely) an i7 9700k with 16gb ddr4 3200mhz.

I plan on overclocking it nearly to its max potential.

I just ordered that board yesterday. Worth is typically up to the buyer. I think it's worth it to me. It has more features than the cheaper Asus motherboards (extra CPU power connector, debug codes, one touch bios/cmos reset, bluetooth, etc., and most of the same features as the higher end Asus motherboards.

Do you need every feature the board offers? In terms of quality its probably one of the best, if not the best, available. Whether its worth it will depend on you and your budget allocation.

^Asus makes better boards than that, they are just on backorder atm. The Maximus XI Code & Formula and then the Extreme is yet to come.
