Hello.
A few days ago I bought a new DARK HERO motherboard
From the very first moment I was faced with doubts of a different type.
The sticker on the socket cap is not centered
One of the USB ports is strange, there is resistance when plugging in a USB device
Today I found out that the BIOS battery is not a KTS which is standard for all motherboards, but a DBV
The warranty on the ASUS website is active and valid, but do you think I have reasons for doubt?

find out when exactly this warranty was registered.
if this date is different then any application that you submitted, then it is likely a fraudulent sale.
do you think I have reasons for doubt?
where was it purchased?

contact ASUS support directly and voice any concerns you have.
they will verify all details.

It was purchased from a computer component store
Strange, but in Bulgaria even such products do not have stickers on the packaging
And so things are too easily accessible for any purpose

there should always be a sealed plastic wrapping on the packaging and/or some sort of sticker-seal to prove the merchandise hasn't been opened.

these are put on at the factory where they are manufactured, not by the individual retail stores.

anything not including the factory seal is likely 'refurbished', 'renewed', or just plain out used.
so, not a new item.

I have never seen a motherboard with such a sticker in my country.
I have another HERO motherboard, so there is no sticker, but there are no such suspicious signs
The interesting thing is something else
Purchase Date : 2024-03-16
Warranty : Valid until 2027-01-18

so this is likely a used item that was previously warranted.

contact ASUS support and verify that the warranty information related to this specific board is correct and that you could actually submit a claim in your own name if needed.

then every store you've been to is selling opened-package items.
if selling these items as "new", then they are committing fraud.

the manufacturer of the hardware puts these sticker-seals directly on the pull tab on the front of the motherboard packaging for the end user to ensure that they haven't been tempered with.

I definitely don't have such a sticker.
I don't have it on the other motherboard either, but things are fine there.
I asked the store why I don't have a sticker, they said that they don't come with a sticker in our country
Well I bought the board on March 16, the warranty is valid from 19 01
I have a 14 day RMA period to return this product, do you think I should because I paid money for a new product and this one is obviously questionable
I looked at many reviews of this motherboard, some had a sticker, some didn't
I also have a HERO motherboard, no sticker, but the prodult looked new and untouched
Here, upon opening the box, the socket cap has a sticker, it is not centered but curved, one of the USB ports is strange, the battery is DBV and not KTS

Yeah, you should return it. If for no other reason then because of your doubts about quality. That is not the board you thought you were buying. Maybe it's a QC reject, or a fake though i admit that seems a little odd.
Good you noticed the battery. Good catch.

Ultimately, the answer they gave you about the packages not coming with a sticker in Bulgaria is a flat out lie. They are breaking the law and they know it.

Politely return the item because the box was opened and contents tampered with, and ask for your money back. Then never deal with them again.

You have reliable sellers in that part of the world, from Slovenia, through Hungary to Bulgaria and Greece. You may have to pay for shipping but at least they will sell you an unopened package.

I will wait for a response from ASUS
If there is really something wrong, I will contact the official representatives of the ASUS in Bulgaria
Otherwise, there is no problem, the motherboard works, it has an active warranty with ASUS by serial number
After all, it has a 3-year warranty, and next time I will order a product that I will install myself
The most shocking thing is that people in Bulgaria are surprised that there should have been a sticker.
That's saying a lot, but pretty sad
