Review Asus ROG NUC 970 mini PC review: A compact desktop chassis with potent performance

So why would I buy this when I can get an Asus laptop with the same processor and GPU WITH and OLED screen for less money?
Maybe you don't need portability, and you also want a bigger display without "wasting" a laptop-sized display. Also, the article says it's quieter, possibly due to larger fans. (I would've expected this to perform better, what with the 330W power supply (the current blade 14 with a Ryzen [78]945HS only has a 230W charger.)

Well a 150w GPU and a 54w CPU have their full needs met by 230w so why would adding more wattage improve performance?

I just dont understand who these are targeted at. If you want performance, you'd get an actual PC. If you want mobility, you'd get a laptop. What am I missing here?

Pricing on most of the NUCs have always been like this and I've never quite understood it. This is why companies like Minisforum have anywhere near the market they do. The Asus laptop listed here costs $1650 today at Best Buy and they claim a $2000 MSRP. If this NUC was $1650 it'd still be expensive, but at least it would be a price that makes sense.

I love the idea and performance of these, but the pricing is simply way too far out of line.

I was watching it. This took forever to be available for purchase. And given that its processor’s successor is launching in a month, this product will be depreciating like an open can of beer.

cinebench r23 13600t
50w 14480
65w 15645
100w 17747

adding more watts can improve a lot!
Yeah and refer me again to which games require all core, max frequency operation. I buy new hardware every generation and even I’m not cool with a 100% power increase for only a 20% performance gain.
