Hello everyone,

I have recently built a new computer but my old 144hz Benq ZL2411 does not have a display port and my Asus Rog Strix 2070 super only has Display port and HDMI.

My only option was to purchase an expensive adaptor in order to achieve 144hz but I rather throw another 100 bucks to get a brand new monitor.

So I was thinking of getting this monitor. https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B07G3YRT4H/ref=pe_3034960_233709270_TE_item

But I have looked at the display ports, and the monitor has display port 1.2 while my gpu has display port 1.4.

Will this still be compatible? Will I be able to achieve 144hz without buying any other cables lol.

Thanks guys. ;D

Looks like an alright monitor. Might've been better if it was 1440p at that size but for the money can't complain.

Displayport ports are backwards compatible so no worries there. The monitor should come with a DP cable. If not or too short, Club3D make good HBR2/HBR3 DP cables but for your needs HBR2 is perfectly fine. Im running 1440p 144Hz with a HBR2 cable my monitor came with.

Also, I remember as I was trying to plug in the cable into the graphics card for my current monitor, did not realise that I had to press something as I pull the display port out of the graphics card, so I kinda kept pulling on it and I felt a cable move in the display plort cable.. so should I be worried? lol im pretty OCD
