Hi,
I'm a Asus Rog Strix GTX 1080 user for almost 3 years. There has been a fan speed problem occured on my GPU, which i believe happened right after Windows had updated itself. Fans on the card works only at 0% or 100%. I can't make it run on lower levels.
Its on automatic mode but whenever it needs to spin, it spins at full speed.
Things that I tried:
-Tried to configure the fan speed through MSI Afterburner, it does read the right temperatures but fans still spin at full speed unless i turn them down to 0.
-Tried scanning the harddrive in case of any miner virus does exist, scanned with malwarebytes, adwcleaner, combofix and roguekiller. There was nothing.
-Tried reinstalling windows to an older version and shutting down the auto-update. Also, updated the drivers.
-Tried updating the BIOS.
-Tried cleaning the card and making sure every plug fits in. And changed the PCI slot to figure out if its a motherboard issue or not.
None of them has solved the problem. I'm gonna RMA the card, but if there is some fix that i can perform, i don't want to wait 20-30 days for my card to return.
