Hey guys. I recently bought a Asus Rog Strix GTX 1080. And I feel like it's aesthetics are kind of going to waste. I want to put it in the Thermaltake View 31 (or another vertical mounting case) But I'm not sure if it will fit that way given how much thicker it is than the founders edition cards. Any one have any experience with this?

The Strix GTX 1080 will definitely fit (vertically or horizontally) in the View 31. Here are a couple of sample builds using the same case, but with the Strix GTX 1070 (same exact physical size as the GTX 1080):
