Asus Rog Strix vs GigabyteP57Wv7

(Sorry for posting this again but I haven't got an answer yet)
Hey , I'm about to get a gaming laptop, I'm considering two laptops but can't decide which is better.
The Asus Rog Strix Gl702vm-db74
I7 6700HQ (2.6GHz) , 16 GB memory, 1 TB HDD, 256 GB SSD, GTX 1060 6GB, 17.3", VR Ready.
And
The Gigabyte P57Wv7-KL3
I7 7700HQ (2.80GHz),16 GB memory, 1 TB HDD,256GB SSD, GTX 1060 6GB, 17.3",VR Ready.

So, both laptops got almost the same specifications, the only difference is in the Intel core, the Asus got a skylake intel core 6700HQ,and the Gigabyte got the kabylake intel core 7700HQ.

Finally, is there is much improvement in the kabylake and are Gigabyte laptops good and reliable?

Sidenote: Both are nearly the same price, the Asus is 1540$, and the Gigabyte is 1599$.

There isn't too much of an improvement over Skylake With Kaby lake. If you're willing to spend the extra 60 dollars for newer generation then go ahead.
