[SOLVED] Asus ROG Strix X470F mobo questions

Hello

I just got this board last week

1) Can ASUS ROG Strix X470F handle Ryzen 7 3700x?

2) Can Asus ROG Strix able to handle Ryzen 9 3900x and maybe 3950x?

3) The LAN Driver for ASUS ROG Strix X470F is not compatible with Windows 10 v1903. I clicked Windows 10 x64 on ASUS page. I already did a clean install Windows 10 in hope this is Windows fault, but it is not Windows fault. How to fix? Contacting ASUS Support is useless to me because they keep saying they will follow up this case for 3 days now

Yes, and yes.

Ideally, you may want an even higher-end board for a 3950x.

I have never seen that issue on mine.
I'm on 5204 unfortunately running a 2600x.

Do you know how I can check X470F VRM temp since the board doesnt have a sensor reading for it.

What bios version running?

Mine come with BIOS 5007 out of the box. Do you know how to check the VRM temp?

I am running a 3700x on an ROG Strix B450-F, my VRMs aren't as good as the VRMs on the X470 and my board handles the 3700x easily.
My MB doesn't have a VRM Temperature sensor either.
I have a Thermal Sensor plugged into my MB's T_Sensor Header and I put it on top pf my VRMs and it stays between 32 and 45c.

As to the lan have you tried uninstalling and installing a earlier version?

It wont let me run the AsusSetup.exe because it will going to give me the error doesn't support Windows 10 v1903 i am running. This is the 1st time I encountered a mobo drivers not compatible with Windows OS.

If you have access to another computer or can have a friend download the older versions try uninstalling the current then install version

Hold up. You have no problem download and install X470F LAN driver on your Windows 10 v1903?!

I can't install any x470f lan driver on my Windows 10 v1903. Security software doesn't block the installer.

No issues with drivers or the lan.
I pay for 140mgbts download and 20mgbts upload and thats what i get via cat5 cable.

Can you run install the driver after you ran AsusSetup? I can reproduce this issue on my laptop with vm on. I can't install driver after I ran the AsusSetup executable file.

You could try getting the driver directly from Intel:

If I'm not mistaken when I installed it on mine all I saw was a quick run cmd window barely a flash in the background.
