Hey everyone,

I own the ASUS ROG STRIX X99 Gaming and was wondering if it supports a SINGLE 32GB DDR4 RAM Module.
Looking at the comparability list I can see a lot of 16GB modules, but no single 32GB modules.
Then again - the list was last updated in 2016.
The board itself supports up to 128GB.

To be specific - I've scored a deal on the Corsair VENGEANCE® LPX 64GB (2 x 32GB) DDR4 DRAM 3200MHz C16 Memory Kit.

Does my motherboard support a 2x32GB combination?

Thank you,

i was about to say no after looking through this and then I saw one - https://www.corsair.com/us/en/memoryfinder?type=motherboard but the number of 1 x 32 are severely outnumbered by 2 x 16 sets. If you search it by CAS 16 (which is what ram is) you get none.

the crucial site only offers max of 16gb sticks - https://www.crucial.com/compatible-upgrade-for/aSUS/rog-strix-x99-gaming

motherboard isn't a great help - https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/LGA2011/STRIX_X99_GAMING/E11712_STRIX_X99_GAMING_UM_V2_WEB.pdf

half the articles about running X99 64gb are people with more than 2 sticks. and the people who do run 2 seem to have issues.
