I got a AOC G2460PF monitor that I am not pleased with and want to replace and have been looking at the ROG Strix XG248Q. They're both 24" which is the size I'm looking for but the refresh rate is 144Hz vs 240Hz. I only do 1080p gaming and I mainly play CSGO. My FPS is between 200-280.

What I dislike about the AOC G2460PF is the colors that looks bland and washed out the further way from the middle of the screen you get. Will this improve with the XG248Q?

Likely not. They both use TN panels. TN panels have poor viewing angles, so if you are not directly in front of it the colors will shift. If you want really good viewing angles you want to look at monitors using an IPS panel. However they are typically more expensive than TN if you want one with a high refresh rate and low response times and input lag.
