Hi,

I have updated my PC in the last week with ASUS ROG STRIX Z 390 E Gaming motherboard and Intel Core i7 8700k. Installed Windows 10 x64 Pro, everything is working fine but the Wi-fi.

The problem is it works for a while when I am browsing or downloading, then suddenly says there is no internet (but still connected to wi-fi). when I disable and enable the adapter or wait for a while, it again works normally This cycle is repeated again and again.

I have updated the drivers to the latest version, but it did not address the issue. Can someone please help me out?

BIOS version 0224 and updated the drivers using Driver Booster. Also used the ASUS driver update tool which popped up after first login in Windows 10 install. After that, found some drivers are still outdated, hence used Driver Booster.

I have updated the firmware version of my router. Still the problem persists.

I'm using neither of those. If I use another Wifi adapter, the reception is much better. and the packet drops are very few and far between. I don't know if the issue is with the Intel adapter or drivers or Windows.

I have updated the BIOS to the latest version and installed the Wi-fi drivers provided by ASUS instead of the one taken default by Windows. Still issue persists.

Wifi in mobile and another Laptop is working fine.

I have also tried to access Wifi using TP Link Wifi adapter. Still the same issue. Before I upgraded to STRIX Z 390 motherboard, I was on a Gigabyte motherboard and the TP Link Wifi adapter worked fine.

I don't know, if the issue is with my router, wireless hardware of ROG STRIX Z 390 E or any other thing

My current specs:
ASUS ROG STRIX Z 390 E Gaming
Intel Core i7 8700K
32GB Trident Z 3000 MHz
WD 500 GB NVMe SSD
ASUS OC 8G RTX 2080
Cooler Master V850 PSU

Any help is much appreciated. Plugging in via Ethernet is not an option for my scenario.
