On the Asus ROG Strix Z690-A Gaming WiFi DDR4, there are 4 M.2 slots and 6 SATA ports. The manual for the motherboard specifies that it has these slots, but doesn’t mention if using any or all of the M.2 slots will cause any SATA ports to be inactive. Does anyone have more in-depth information on this?

Not all motherboards have conflicts with these ports.

If it does not state so in the specs, there would appear to be no conflict.
All ports available.

My B550M Aorus Pro is like this.

2x M.2 ports, 4x SATA ports.
All available.

Thank you for the reply! I think you’re correct, I found other Asus manuals that state explicitly if SATA ports are disabled so it looks like there’s no conflict on this board.
