http://www.asus.com/Networking/RTN12HP/#specifications

but still i need more clear information to decide which router to buy ?

so please help me

Concerning the router : DSL-N12U .does it support IP V6 OR NO ?

I want to know if the router RT-N12HP has Firewall & Access Control : Built-in NAT and SPI firewall , Port, IP packet, URL, MAC filter .

Does this model ( N12HP ) includes these buttons
Reset Button, Power Switch, Wireless on/off Switch

IF it doesn't include Wireless on/off Switch,Reset Button, How will i reset the router and how will i turn on/off the wireless ?

does this model ( N12HP ) have the LED Indicators ADSL, Internet ? If No , then how will I be able to notice the adsl and the internet ??

what about the memory of ( N12HP ) ?

What does this sentence mean ?
*Antenna type will differ according to local regulations and requirement in each country

please, could you tell me which model is better DSL-N12U vs RT-N12HP considering that i need wide range for wifi & URL Filtering is preferred also ?

Thanks very much

You really can't compare those one is a DSL router and the other is not. They also have multiple different models of their N12 line. The are dsl models like the rt-n12hp but it does not come with the larger antenna but you can put them on yourself. This appears to be one of the major differences between the older line of n12 and the newer ones that they allow you to change the antenna. Even the older N12 has lots of hardware versions even though the case look the same. They use different radios in some of them.

In theory replacing the antenna on any router that has replaceable antenna will increase its range but how well it actually works in the real world is hard to predict.

Software features is going to depend on the software level so you would have to dig though the manuals to see which does which. Many asus routers support DD-WRT firmware so getting a model that is on the supported list would give you that option. DD-WRT has many more feature than most vendor software.

This is very hard when the vendor uses very similar names for lots of different versions of the router.

I would look for a router that you can replace the antenna and one that you can load dd-wrt on just in case the vendor software is lacking.
