Which one is the best? In my country they are in the similar price range and I can find positive and negative reviews on both of them. Or is there better alternative in about 60 GBP range?

You likely will not see signification difference between them. The large router manufactures have figured out the details of optimizing these devices over the years so the difference between devices is small.

The key reason you find positive and negative reviews on all products is wireless is greatly affected by someone house and their neighbors. On top of this you can not always be sure what is really being reviewed. The rt-1200 has 4 or 5 models just in 2 years. There are multiple that even have "G" letters on the end. The tplink has at least 2 versions. They look the same externally but have different cpu and radio chips.

Most difference are going to be in software or as mentioned above the ability to load third party firmware.

Someone asking a similar question a few days ago finally decided and his choice was based on what the device looked like.

Pretty much you will likely have no issues with either.
