Guys, I'm stuck getting no internet from the router through wifi. I'am able to get into the asus router access page but no internet. The WAN light on the router is flashing pink/red while the power, 2.4ghz and 5ghz lights are all illuminated white. I'm not sure if the problem is from having not having the routers and modems connected properly or if I confirgured the internet settings wrong on the Asus router setup.

When Spectrum/TWC came to setup the hardware they ran the cable wire into a splitter that went into the modem (model Spectrum201-T) and then the other end to the provided Ubee router. What I did was disconnect the Ubee router completely from the modem and unplugged the power source. I connected the Asus AC3100 router to the Spectrum cable modem via the ethernet cable and as I stated, the power, 2.4ghz and 5ghz all light up bright white but the WAN stays flashing red/pink and no internet serivce. Can someone verify that this is the correct way for me to set up this router? I've read about bridging the Spectrum to use the Asus router as an access point but I don't want to go that route unless there is no other way.

The other problem I think it might be is the setup on the Asus router homepage. I selected a pppoe setup I believe and was prompted by Asus to enter the username and pw that my ISP provided me(I'm guessing it was my wifi name and pw from Spectrum) and after I put those credentials I was able to gain access to Asus router UI but still no internet connection.

Hopefully someone dealt with an issue like this before? Could this also be a firmware issue with the Asus router? Just kind of lost right now. Thanks in advance.

see if you connect pc directly to modem you have net . i read back for the wi-fi see if the mac address of device is on the router permit list so it could connect to it and the net and that the wireless signal is not turn off on router .
On the Asus UI, once I select DHCP; Asus will automatically try to search for a connection but a few seconds later I get a internet search connection timed out box that appears and I either cancel or select new internet type.

scout_03 I did not do that! I just unplugged everything, hooked up the new router and started it up.
