asus rt-ac68u antenna problem

please help, am trying to figure out if my asus is working correctly here because the range is low as fuck, and i have a single antenna that i dont know if its broken but it seems that i can pull the end part of the antenna which is the screw part , cant tell if it can be detached or is it broken.

Is the range low or is your adapter weak?

The antennas can be unscrewed. I'm going to have to look at it to know if it is broken or affecting your router's performance.

Even if it is broken it can be replaced

This happened to me also. I bought and installed the router. It worked great for 3-4 days. Then i woke up and the next day the range went from excellent to poor. I could barely get two bars right next to the router. Contacted Asus and they told me it was a defective unit. returned it through amazon since i purchased it there and everything is great once again.
