I don't know what casing the issue, but i'm getting tired of having to constantly having to reset my router every 3-4 month, just because it forgets its own password... I'm using Chrome that saves my password on this computer specifically, so it never forgets.... or at least, shouldn't.
Somehow, it still does and nothing i do except doing a factory reset fixes it. I know that ASUS routers have a tendency to do this, but this is starting to become ridiculous...

Solution
Yes, the image i posted is the very loginscreen for the router itself (only masked out my login name and password) and i login via my local ip adress (eg 192.168.1.1).

edit: Anyway, i think it fixed (or something). For some explicable reason, it just decided to accept the password today. Just like that.
After testing out one of my 10 different passwords i use for everything i use, it just.... worked... Even tho i'm pretty sure i tried to use that specific password before and it didnt work...
That is a rather odd problem and one I am not familiar with. This indicates a problem with the router itself. Is your router's firmware up to date?

Are you the only person managing the router, or is it possible that someone else is resetting it (changing the admin password)?

I'm the only one in control of the router, as i live by myself. And yes, i do a firmware update everytime it's available and that doesnt fix the problem. Same happens if i try to access it on my laptop, password doesnt match.

I cant access the router itself, eg admin password.

Just a question:

Where is that imgur "SIGN IN" image coming from?

Are you accessing the router via its IP address or http://router.asus.com.

Do not have an Asus router. However, the screen does not seem to match anything I can find.
