ASUS RT-N18U getting slower randomly

I have ASUS RT-N18U router. The problem is that my internet speeds are randomly getting slower. I have around 20MB/s actual speed and then with no apparent reason it drops to 0.1- 0.5 MB/s. But when I restart it works for arund an hour and then agen gets slower. I had ASUS RT-N13U and it was doing similar things for about two monts so I thougt that it was my routers fault so I changed it but nothing has changed.

Have you tried:

1) Update firmware? (latest version came out last month)

2) Factory reset?

What about your computer? Are you connecting via ethernet or wireless? If wireless, what are your wireless network settings? Security settings?

What about your cable/dsl modem?
