Asus RT-N53 Disconnecting internet

I have had this router for awhile now. The problem is it keeps disconnecting the internet and will only come back online once i have reset the router. I am using a hardline and not wifi. Although the problem is for both.
It is not my internet provider as i've tried not using the asus router and the default modem given to me by service provider. I am not sure what could cause it to lose internet connection but any advice would be greatly appreciated as it becomes very frustrating! Thanks!

It's time to replace the router, most of the relatively cheap ones have a limited lifetime after which symptoms like frequent disconnects will keep occurring - - often (but not exclusively) due to poor ventilation.

thank you for your response! I guess it must be poorly made, it was around 90$ and did this since i purchased it.
