ASUS RT-N66U 5 GHz signal issue

This is strange but the 5 GHz channel on my ASUS RT-N66U is weak when I am floor below from it is. Where as the 2 GHz band is full signal across the house. Any way I could fix this?

Get a different house

It is a fundamental thing based on the frequency of the radio waves. Higher frequencies are more easily absorbed by the materials that make up the floors and walls. They also tend to not go around obstructions as much.

The only good news is the outside walls of your house also do a much better job of blocking the neighbors signal.
