heyho
just upgraded my system after years with mentioned ASUS RX6600 dual.
what catches my eyes is that in Hwinfo the VR VDDC value idle is 10 celcius around more than gpu tmeps arpund and under load between 15 to22 celicus more than core and other temps.
sadly i do not remember if the ASUS RX570 i had before had that VR VDDC value too or not because from what i remember all values there in Hwinfo have been about the same high min/max.

maybe anyone here has the same model of the card and cann tell me?

might be standard or not, trying to figure out as the card already has been opened/open seal and maybe someone returned it for some reason.

thx

mmh, must be my lucky day to have feedback from a luminary?)

well gonna haver some gaming tonight and then make a screenshot of the Hwinfo gpu values

btw did not figure out how to just attach a picture file here, drag, drop, copy?

a mate with a 6600XT just had VRM VDDC idle 5 degrees lower than gpu temp so i thought that higher here cant be?
gpu with sharp fan profile from adrenalin is been maybe 50 degrees while VR VDDC has been 65, always more here with that 6600

thx so far

thought it is possible without url

well, there we go

in my opinion today its a little bit ccoler and less VR in gaming, switched from win10 to 11 yesterday, maybe better driver/power profile there

however, VR VDDC min +11 vs gpu temp, under load even some more

second one with up to 69 is after a while a plague tale requeim, unreal engine game which makes the fans cry)

None of those temps are even remotely close to maximum spec.

Try this, run Furmark torture test. After like three minutes take another screenshot like the ones above. That will give us a more realistic idea of where we are, but honestly I think you are looking for an answer to a problem that doesn't exist because you are WAY below spec with those temps.

well as mentioned due to VR higher than rest and never recognized before i got nervous as the card already was used/tried out and returned so i wanted to ask

that unreal engine games even in game menu in cutscenes makes GPUs run hot/fan whining is related to UE?

me again, downaloded furmark, no MSAA, 1080p like my setup
ran a minute or two untill the end, even cooler than unreal engine aplague tale reqieum results

so as you are saying all fine i ll just end with my thoughts due to highest value VR VDDC in idle which confused me and enjoy the card
3 years warranty anyway

VR VDDC down to 47 from 63,9 within a minute after furmark
so the idle temp was my only complain and that asus cards with only 2 fans start crying under load in unreal engine game, well RX570 had same behaviour, gonna undervolt maybe or take away some mhz core clock?
shoudlnt affect performance that much?

or, otherwise, gpu temps 65 and Vr VDDC 75 still safe for years?
then i also could relax the sharp fan curve a bit, less noise, higher temps, RX570 ran 5 years with tems in the mid 60s

Just as with a CPU, "idle" temperatures don't mean anything, at all, so long as it's not some kind of CRAZY high and so long as your maximum temperature under a FULL load is under spec.

For your card the maximum safe GPU temp is around 100°C with thermal trip not even occurring until around 110°C based on the specifications. The rest of your temps are within spec as well, exactly as others have told you over on the Techpowerup forum where you have another thread on the topic.

ajo
so i modified fan curve, gpu 55 then and vr 72, still fine
and however with frame in game showing 60 locked without vsync the fan raises up
when using vsync it doesnt, so i guess in some games in menus or cutscenes without vsync it just renders xxx fps and gets unneccesary up

framerate limit on adrenalin side capped to 59 might work better?

thx
