Asus sabertooth 990fx r2.0 and Corsair ram. Need some clarification please.

So I'm looking to update my ram and I was looking at either one of these:

However neither one are listed in the book that came with my motherboard as being compatible. Not sure how up to date the book is? Still fairly new to all this, any help/clarification would greatly be appreciated.

Either one will work. However, I would strongly suggest looking at faster ram. 1866 or above.

I have used this particular ram in my system which happens to be a Sabertooth 990fX R2.0. It is now in my M5A97/FX6350 system.

So yes, it will work.

You won't notice a difference between 1600 AND 1866.
