So i had a 2012 bios an decided it could do with an update. i downloaded the AI Suite II and the right bios from the asus website for my motherboard. I used AI Suite II to update it and it finished. Then it asked if i wanted to update logo and i just press next. all of a sudden my gpu driver crashes but then recovers instantly (thats what the windows 10 notification told me) and the AI Suite II was frozen after that. i waited a while to see if it would fix but it didnt so i decided to restart my pc. then it would turn on everything working fine but my monitor wouldnt display anything. I did a USB bios flash and it worked exactly as expected but my monitor is still not receiving any signals.

The motherboard has a usb flash button on the back where if you plug in a usb into the port right below it (its color labelled so people know which one) and hold the button for 3 seconds it will then begin to start flashing and once it stops flashing it is done. i know it flashed properly because at first i had the bios update CAP file in the usb and when i did it, the button just stayed solid blue (which it isnt supposed to) but when i checked the manual and renamed the file to what it said to in the manual, the button started flashing blue (which it is supposed to).

I cleared the RTC RAM by switching the jumper caps (havn't done the take out battery method yet) and i have two leds on my mobo on, the one by the PUS is green and the one by the ram labeled DRAM LED is solid red

Do you remember the BIOS version you came from? If so, can you download it from the ASUS web site and use the USB flash mechanism and try to revert to your previous BIOS. With the DRAM LED staying on that would indicate it found a problem with the DRAM - more likely BIOS changes and RAM auto-tweeking. There could be bits set based on the old BIOS that mean different things RAM wise using the new BIOS. You could also try the pull-the-battery and reset CMOS trick as well.

What about going through the MemOK! procedure? That "may" cause the BIOS to generate new internal timings and get your RAM up again.

I just tried the old bios and that didnt seem to work either. as to the MemOK button, i tried it again and it just simply makes the DRAM LED start flashing red at first and after 30 seconds goes back to solid red. Also, i tried the removing battery clearing thing and that also didnt do anything

I'm fresh out of ideas. I guess it's time to contact Asus and start thinking about an RMA...
