asus sabertooth 990fx r2.0 throtles?

hey so just like the title my cpu is throtling from 1,4 ghz to 4,2 ghz my cpu is fx 8350 and dont know why it does that? but i play games just fine and play battlefield 4 smooth on high-medium settings with my 7870 ,but i just want my cpu to be stable, my bios is the latest bios that is 2104 ,thanks!

disable your cool and quite option (c n'q) in bios..it'll keep your processor to run at the full speed..

If not under load then that is its power saving feature.

yeah but im just a bit scared cause my past motherboard wich is a gigabyte 99fx ud3 did the same thing and died in 2 months while i was watching youtube but the difference is this sabertooth is waaaaayyy cooler than the ud3 like 20 celcius cooler ,and in the bios there are 3 settings right? and i choose the middle one and i did turn off the cool n quite and power saving

I have never found it effective to disable cool and quiet. LOL I think there is some sort of override on it.

But I doubt you have an issue.

yeah but i just found out that the cool n quiet was "disable by cpu" so i switch it to always disabled, and i also disabled the apm master since i've read that also help

so over all i did always disable c n q and auto the apm so it overclock itself to 4,2 ghz without going down to 1,4 ghz and when i play battlefield 4 i did see a very very little improvement lol
